Downtown Civic Campus Master Plan
The Downtown Civic Center Campus Master Plan is a holistic and comprehensive review of existing workplace assets owned and operated by the City of Tempe and located within the Downtown Core. This analysis included documentation, methodology, and recommendations to inform legitimate and tangible improvements to City operations through the lens of post-pandemic workplace scenarios.
Planning Strategy
The Master Plan is the result of technical investigations, site visits, dozens of staff interviews, and building assessments conducted by Holly Street Studio and their consultants in collaboration with Tempe staff. The document serves as a guiding program for the most efficient use and economic sustainability of existing workplace assets, and recommendations for new facilities or renovations that may be required to meet City needs and future growth. An overview of the urban campus layout also developed recommendations for the most efficient flow of City Staff, public visitors and customers, while identifying general safety concerns and specific attention to quality of life improvements. The City is actively conducting additional department-specific studies, T.I.'s, and assessments at City properties as a result of this plan.
