Arizona State University engaged Holly Street Studio to reimagine a high-traffic lobby and circulation zone at the W. P. Carey School of Business, a space that had evolved through incremental fixes and make-shift solutions for growth over the years. The planning and design effort reorganizes the arrival sequence, clarifies wayfinding to the elevators and nearby lecture hall, and creates a new central social / study space that opens to the patio and supports daily student life. The project replaces dark, dated finishes with a brighter, more contemporary material palette of paneled wood, colored tile, terrazzo flooring, updated lighting, and integrated mechanical upgrades — all in an effort to reflect the stature of the School. The result is a more intuitive, open, and dignified first impression for students, faculty, and visitors, delivered within a compact footprint while expanding opportunities for movement, respite, and collaboration.
