Steven returned to Phoenix after living in New York City for several years, where he gained a BFA from the Cooper Union School of Art. Originally brought on as Studio Coordinator,  Steven's art background, adoration for public spaces, and positive critical thinking skills led him to tackle the complex nature of public works procurement, and soon began leading the firm's marketing sector and strategizing on business development. Today, as Communications Director, anything that doesn't require an architect's stamp has Steven's hypothetical 'graphic stamp' of approval before it leaves the door. He now collaborates closely with firm leadership on the overall image of HSS, contributing to a wide range of endeavors including marketing, branding, strategic planning, public relations and events, community outreach, and urban planning projects.
